Georgian era French 18K gold Aquamarine diamond ring
A rare and highly collectible 18th century, Georgian-era ring, crafted in 18K gold. The ring features an unusual hexagon-shaped foiled aquamarine at its center, (approximately 9.6 mm* 9.8mm) surrounded by a halo of rose-cut diamonds.
As was typical of the period, the gemstones are set in silver and mounted on gold. The gold shoulders are finely carved with floral motifs, with two rose cut diamonds, a charming decorative detail characteristic of the Georgian era.
Remaining entirely original, this exceptional ring is a wonderful example of 18th-century jewelry design and a perfect piece for the discerning collector. Comparable examples of this style can be found illustrated in the book Georgian Jewellery.
The ring is resizable at buyer’s cost, please contact us before passing your order.
