Antique French 18K gold Diamond you and me Ring
A tender symbol of two souls meeting, this early 20th century French Toi et Moi ring captures romance in its most graceful form.
At its heart sit two old mine cut diamonds, for approximately 0.40 carats in total (estimated H/VS). One rests above and the other below the central design, quietly facing one another. Between them, 15 transitional cut diamonds unfurl in a delicate ribbon-like motif, flowing in soft curves that link the two stones in a continuous shimmer of light.
The design reflects the shift in jewellery aesthetics at the dawn of the 20th century, when makers began to move away from the heavier, more ornate styles of the 19th century toward lighter, more fluid compositions. The bright white tones of the diamonds enhance this sense of airiness, giving the ring a luminous, almost weightless presence on the hand.
Exceptionally feminine and full of poetic symbolism, this ring makes a beautiful everyday jewel and an especially meaningful choice for a unique engagement ring.
