Georgian era 14K Gold diamond “Bague au Firmament” Ring
This stunning Georgian-era “Bague au Firmament” ring is a beautiful example of celestial-inspired jewelry from the late 18th century.
The ring features a deep blue enamel panel set with a cluster of nine rose-cut diamonds arranged in a star shape. The diamonds are mounted in silver, as was typical of the period, and the panel is framed by a delicate circle of natural white seed pearls. The band and body of the ring are crafted in 14k yellow gold.
This style became popular thanks to Marie-Antoinette, who helped introduce these starry “firmament rings” after her coronation in 1774. Between 1770 and 1780, these pieces were created to reflect the fascination with the night sky and celestial motifs.
A rare and enchanting piece of Georgian jewelry—perfect for collectors or anyone who loves historic, meaningful adornments.
