Antique 18K gold diamond poodle dog brooch
Perfectly capturing the expression, personality and physical characteristics of this adored poodle, the maker of this wonderful piece of jewelry pays attention to the smallest details to create a life-like miniature version of this dog on a brooch.
The dog is mounted in silver and in 18K yellow gold (hallmarked). The miniature is meticulously crafted to show you the movements of his/her body, the power among the muscles and the fluidity of his/her hair. No wonder why the dog appears incredibly lively in our eyes.
On each articulation and on his/her hair are decorated with a sparkling rose cut diamond. Did you notice that there is also one perfectly set into his/her tail? There are in total 13 diamonds for an estimated weight of approximately 0.26cts. The eye of the dog is made of a purplish red ruby. The brooch is made during the 19th century, the Victorian era.
