Victorian era 18K gold enamel cherubs miniature pendant brooch
A very sweet treasure from the Victorian era, this enchanting 18K yellow gold pendant brooch showcases a finely hand-painted enamel miniature of two cherubs tenderly holding a garland of flowers—a symbol of love, innocence, and divine protection often found in sentimental jewelry of the time.
The delicate artwork is encircled by a double halo of natural seed pearls and sky-blue color turquoise gems, lending a luminous charm to the piece. The decorative bale, adorned with matching pearls and turquoises, is cleverly designed to allow it to be detached when worn as a brooch. (please see photo). Generously sized, the piece makes a bold and graceful statement whether worn or displayed.
