Victorian era 18K gold diamond ruby horseshoe pendant
For sale a beautiful 18K gold pendant featuring a swinging horse shoe inside of a horse stirrup. On the horse shoe, there are 3 diamonds in rose cut style and 4 rubies in vivid pinkish red color.
The horse shoe / boot is considered as a symbol of good luck and protection. It was very popular to wear jewelry with the horse shoe in the 19th century as an amulet and a protector to its wearer.
The one-of-a kind pendant is converted from an antique brooch.
The chain on the photo is not included in the listing.

In overall good antique condition with slight traces of use on the metal.
Two marks on the back of the pendant, where the pin of the brooch used to be. Please see photo.
