For sale a delicate diamond and pearl pendant, featuring a beautiful floral design. The pendant is dated back to the mid 19th century, circa 1850s, the Victorian era.

The four leaves in the center are decorated with 12 diamonds in rose cut style. They are set on a quilloché enamel patterns in vibrant green color. The bezel is integrated into a delicate white enamel. The frame of the pendant is made of another 12 rose cut diamonds; The total estimated weight of the diamonds is approximately 0.6ct. The diamonds are mounted first on silver and then backed with 18K yellow gold, which is typical to the Victorian era. The pearl at the bottom measures 5mm in diameter. It shows a very good luster and has a mirror like surface.

Green is one of our favorite colors and it is so rare to find the green enameled antique jewelry today. Green is the symbol of growth and renewal - the color of rebirth. The enamel on this pendant has a shimmery and translucent finish recalling us of the freshness of the Spring. The use of the white enamel and the little gold balls on the point of each leave are the icy on the cake. What a delicate and unusual design we have here!

Measurements and condition

In overall good antique condition. Traces of uses/oxidation on the metal.

Very slight missing of the green enamel on the right bottom leave, which is not visible when the pendant is worn.

A trace of hallmark is found on the inner side of the bail. The pendant is acid tested for 18K gold.
