Victorian era 18K gold banded agate pearl locket pendant

We love this very lovely French antique doubled-sided agate locket not for its mysterious yet chic style which is very rare to be found today.

This beautiful locket features 2 pearls on each side of the locket. The skillful engraving allows the pendant to show three colors: a blueish grey color and brown color intersecting with the white color. The back of the locket is also decorated with the agate panel with slightly different patterns. We also like its carefully crafted gold frame, which shows elegant laurel leave patterns all around. The locket is mounted in 18k yellow gold and it is dated back to the mid 19th century, the Victorian era.

Measurements and Condition

In overall very good antique condition, align with their age. No crack or missing on the agate panels. Slight traces of use inside of the locket.

No hallmark is found so the locket pendant is acid tested for 18K gold.
