€1,304.99 €1,450

Only 1 piece in stock!

For sale a beautiful Victorian era 18K gold ring, which provides us a mighty monochrome: The black is created from the banded agate with the use of a delicate black enamel on the outer circle, while the white is evoked with the use of the dazzling rose cut diamonds with the eye-catching white line on the central gemstone. The ring is mounted in 18K yellow gold and it is stamped with the French owl hallmark for 18K gold.

The banded agate is cut in cabochon and it has a large size of 13mm in diameter. It’s distinctive curved and angular color banding gives it a mysterious while fascinating look. Cutting in cabochon allows it to display this very unique motif at its best. There are in total 20 rose cut diamonds for a total estimated weight of approximately 0.55cts. They add extra sparkles and brilliance into the ring. The choice of using a black enamel on the frame also shows a great attention into the detail.

Agate is thought to be one of the first gems to be used for personal adornment. The ancient Egyptians wore agate jewelry and used the gems as good luck charms. Because of its fascinating variety, agate is a favorite with collectors even today!

We believe that this very rare and bold antique agate diamond ring will make its next caretaker very happy!
