Victorian 18K gold diamond star blue enamel brooch
Discover the exceptional craftsmanship with this French antique 18K gold brooch (double French owl hallmarks), adorned with beautiful royal blue enamel.
At its heart lies a radiant diamond star centerpiece, featuring a large rose-cut diamond of approximately 0.65ct. The star’s brilliance is beautifully contrasted by the guilloché enamel. The application of enamel on guilloché patterns is particularly challenging, requiring precision to preserve the underlying detail also extreme attention so the enamel didn't crack during the firing.
Encircling the enamel panel is a delicate yellow gold heart motif, further enhanced by a halo of natural pearls (approximately 3mm in diameter) exuding a soft, lustrous shimmer. This harmonious design embraces the symbolism of the star—a beacon of guidance, inspiration, and divine connection.
Preserved in very good antique condition, this brooch released from our personal collection is a rare find, embodying the finest artistry of the 19th century. A true treasure for any antique jewelery lovers or for anyone who is looking for a gift really special and meaningful.
