Very sweet French 19th century 18k gold perfume bottle pendant
For sale a very cute French antique 18k gold perfume bottle pendant dated from the early 19th century. At the time, these little perfume bottles were used to wash the face. Also, when the woman fainted (usually due to their tight clothes), they served as a first-aid-kit with the help of the aromatic smells they contain, which are usually made from lavender or colchicum.
The body of the bottle is decorated with beautiful geometric motifs while bottle cap is engraved with golden waves. The cap opens and closes very well today – even the little stopper which used to keep the liquid inside is still there. It is wonderful to find this little miniature in its all after more than 200 years!
Today, this bottle pendant can be easily worn as a decorative object with a gold chain, you can also fill it with your personal favorite perfume to make it even more personal!
