If you are looking for a classic piece of jewelry which you can wear anywhere any time, this very elegant French Origin Art Deco Bar Brooch is your perfect choice!
The center of the brooch is a soft mabe pearl with a shimmering glow, surrounded by 10 ruby calibré in a vivid purplish red, like a well-aged glass of wine. The whole brooch is mounted in solid 18K gold, with a special attention: the guilloche gold on the face of the bar brooch shows beautiful linear small dots, adding different textures into the whole design. The brooch finishes by the trombone clasp which closes well.
This brooch concurred us by its minimalist and chic style as well as its versatile utilization. It can be a perfect piece to wear daily or an extra sparkling to enlighten your more formal outfit. It is a classic, essential jewelry item which never go out of style!
Art Deco is one of our favorite jewelry periods: the style emerged after World War I and dominated jewelry and decorative arts from 1920 through the 1930s. It was a strong reaction against the ethereal sensuality of Art Nouveau and the delicate elegance of the Garland style. Art Deco jewelry suggests post-war practicality through its geometric patterns and bold colors. Women did no more only look for jewelry to please or to party, but also to work and to show their freedom and identify. It was a period where great creativity has been expressed through the different forms of the Art and the jewelry is an important part of it.
Brooches in the 1920s were worn on the shoulders, belts and sashes, or pinned on to the fashionable cloche hats (which give us also lots of new ideas how to wear brooches today!).
