Curiously timeless

Rare vintage Arthus Bertrand Sterling Silver and gold dog ring

€0

Loyal and faithful, dog is the symbol of friendship and love. For sale a French Arthus Bertrand’s vintage ring featuring a dog’s (probably Greyhound) head. This piece is a very rare, unique and great example of our love toward this most devoted animal. We used to carry two bracelets from the same collection (both sold already) but it is the first time we found the ring version!

We are attracted by how lively the dog is crafted: you can clearly see his fur, the floppy ears, his elegant and noble necklace with a small name card. When you wear the ring, his head comfortably lying on your finger so he would never leave you alone. We also adore his facial expression with a little smile. What a great piece of dog miniature jewelry. The ring is made in silver and his necklace in gold. It has an open design to adjust to different sizes and it is dated back to the mid 20th century.

We have also to mention that this beautiful ring is made by the French famous jewelry brand Arthus Bertrand, founded in 1803 in France. Artists who have designed for the firm include Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi (sculptor of the Statue of Liberty) and Fernand Léger. The brand is also very famous for its gold medals and silver collectibles. The famous Augis Medals are part of the company’s business today as well.

It is an amazing piece and can be such a heartwarming gift to offer for anyone who loves dogs!
