For sale an extraordinary piece of artistry from the 19th century Victorian era, behold the captivating beauty of this rare antique ring. The ring showcases a stunning oval-shaped amethyst, boasting a deep, enchanting purple hue. A golden flower delicately emerges from the surface of the amethyst.

Crafted with unparalleled skill and precision, the flower motif on the ring features intricate piqué work, where the golden metal is inlaid into the amethyst. The petals and leaves of the flower are adorned with 12 rose cut diamonds, each meticulously placed to enhance the brilliance of the design. Despite their petite size, these diamonds create an awe-inspiring visual spectacle. This type of design was very popular during the Victorian era, under the name of " Rose of Sharon".

Upon closer inspection, the back of the amethyst reveals a delicate golden outline that traces the contours of the flower. The ring retains its original setting: the engraved shoulders with the golden floral motifs on the ring's shank echo the diamond flower on the head, creating a harmonious and visually pleasing composition.

The ring is stamped with the French horse head hallmark (in use between 1838 and 1919) for 18K gold and a maker’s mark.
