Curiously timeless
Rare Victorian 18K gold diamond cross blood jasper ring
In the past, people used jewelry to demonstrate their status, faith or material well-being. We are now living in a time when symbolic elements, including religious symbols, are not always directly associated with their original meaning. Once sacred, these objects have now become decorative elements and everyone can give them their own meaning.
For sale a very rare antique French 18k gold ring: the head of the ring is made of the blood jasper, with a diamond cross incrusted on the surface. The shoulder of the ring is beautifully decorated with laurel motifs, typical from that period. There are in total 7 rose cut diamonds on the cross, framed equally in 18K gold. The ring is very comfortable to be worn, and the deep green tone of the blood jasper complements perfectly the yellow gold and the whiteness offered by the diamond cross.
It is a very special & rare antique piece for your jewelry collection.
