Over the history and in ancient Egyptian religion the scarab was the symbol of immortality, resurrection, transformation and protection. It was one of the most important religious Egyptian Symbols in the mythology. The Scarab beetle symbolized the sun because the ancient Egyptians saw a likeness between the scarab beetle rolling the dung and the sun god rolling the sun, making it shine on Earth.

For sale a very rare scarab brooch mounted in 18K gold. The body of the little guy is made of a beautiful moonstone cabochon, weighted circa 5ct. It shows a beautiful blue sheen looks like the full moon shining. The eyes of the scarab are made of two rubies. The brooch is finely crafted with a very artistic design.

According to Hindu mythology, moonstone is made of solidified moonbeams. Many other cultures also associate this gem with moonlight, and it’s easy to see why. Legends say that moonstone brings good luck. Many believed that you could see the future if you held a moonstone in your mouth during a full moon.
