Curiously timeless
Glamorous 18k gold Art Nouveau flower bouquet pendant with its chain
For sale a truly beautiful 18K antique pendant with its chain from the 1900s (Art Nouveau period), which conveys a festival-ready glamour. The design shows a delicate pansy flower bouquet, decorated with the large ribbons and the floral scrolls. The central motif is then attached to a knot by two refined chains. Two pearls and a rose cut diamond highlight the whole design by adding extra softness and sparkling.
Nature and naturalism were the driving force behind nearly all the decorative output from that period of Art Nouveau: insect such as a butterfly, a bird, a flower or a leaf…
Since it has 2 small hooks on the top of its backside, you can easily wear it with a chain as a pendant or clasp it on your necklace to add some extra sheen to your jewelry (Please see last two photos).
The term “Art Nouveau” was taken from a Parisian shop called “Maison de l’Art Nouveau”. The period in which the movement flourished was the last decade of the 19th century until the outbreak of the First World War. During the 25 years, Art Nouveau gained enormous influence in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and America.
