French antique 18K gold rose cut diamond marquise ring
A beautiful antique 18K rose gold marquise ring, dated back to the 19th century, featuring a delicate panel of 20 rose cut diamonds, totaling approximately 1.10cts. The diamonds are mounted in white gold with open backs, allowing light to pass through. Timeless, the elongated marquise shape flatters the finger beautifully, making this ring perfect for daily wear or as a unique engagement ring.
The marquise shape dates back to 18th-century France and is said to have been inspired by the smile of the Marquise de Pompadour, commissioned by King Louis XV as a symbol of romance and refinement.
