Elegant French Antique Victorian 18K diamond flower sleeper earrings

€0

For sale a lovely pair of French antique 18k yellow and white gold flower earrings, made of rose cut diamonds.

The earrings have a very delicate and gentle form of a flower: 8 rose cut diamonds totaling circa 0,4ct as petals; 1 central rose cut diamond of 0,07ct as heart; and the whole flower is attached to another small rose cut diamond on top. There are in total 20 rose cut diamonds presented on this pair of earrings. The diamonds are mounted first in 18k white gold and then 18K yellow gold. The earrings have a lever-back closure for pierced ears.

The diamonds add brilliance and sparkle, while the cool white gold balances the white color by adding a trace of metallic feeling; The curve of the yellow gold mounting contrasts pleasingly with the diamonds’ icy reflection. Not only the design is among our favorite styles, but they are also very comfortable to be worn.

This pair of earrings can be easily paired with different outfit for various occasions and will make a wonderful gift to offer or to receive!

The sleeper earrings (or dormeuse in French) were often worn to bed to keep the earlobe hole from closing during the mourning period of Queen Victorian, when ears were covered by hair and could not be seen. They are hence very comfortable to be worn and can be paired easily with any outfit.
