Antique 18K gold miniature tube pendant
For sale a curious and very rare antique pendant with a beautiful miniature. On the tube pendant, a man is painted in miniature enamel on a white background. We can still see the vivid colors used on the different part of his outlook, achieving a balance between fine detail in the painting and a lightness of touch. The top of the pendant is also beautifully decorated with intersections made of blue and green enamels, on which little golden flowers dance on the same time.
The tube is mounted in 18K yellow gold and it is dated back to the late 19th century. There is a signature of “FC” on the pendant and we are still wondering what the object is made for originally and if it is a decorative object since the beginning. In overall good antique condition; Traces of use on the white enamel part.
Double French owl hallmarks for 18K gold on the bail of the pendant. The pendant is also acid tested for 18K gold.
