Articulated 18K white gold rose cut diamond flower pendant

€0

Clean, delicate and feminine, this 18k white gold diamond flower pendant is a piece of jewelry which suits almost any occasions. Solid in design and in material, it is also a perfect antique piece you will enjoy to wear daily.

On the pendant, there are in total 11 diamonds in rose cut style. They are bezel set with an open back. On the bottom flower motif, the central diamond weights approximately 0.3ct. The total weight of the diamonds is estimated at approximately 0.8ct. The pendant is articulated crafted allowing the different parts linked to each other with lots of movements. The use of the white gold contributes to the brightness of the pendant while the diamonds add more sparkles and dazzling effects. The pendant is dated back to the early 20th century, circa 1910s/1920s.

Unlike the more rigid design parameters that dictate the number of facets on a round brilliant-cut diamond, rose-cut diamonds can have anywhere from three to 24 facets. Named after its shape, which resembles that of a rose bud, the cut features a flat bottom with a dome-shaped crown that rises to a single apex. The subtler but undeniably beautiful rose cut has seen a definite resurgence recently and we believe this pendant will be a wonderful piece of jewelry for anyone who wants to start a rose cut diamond jewelry collection.

The chain on the photo is not included in the listing.
