Victorian 14K Carved Natural Coral flower gold ring
Rarely we see a beautiful carved natural coral jewelry at this important size today!
This piece is a marvelous interpretation of the naturalism inspired jewelry from the Victorian era. The coral is in a warm, homogenous and statured deep orange and formed two beautiful flowers, very likely to be sunflowers to us. Not only the coral is a reflect of the very high craftsmanship from that period but the frame is also a pleasure to see: it is a very delicate gold filigree with cannetille details all around the carved coral. The warm orange color and the buttery gold color complete each other in a heartwarming way.
Since the Victorian era, coral jewelry has never lost its popularity: coral was particularly in favor and worn in all possible forms: either carved as beads or naturalistic sprays of leaves and flowers, or left simply in its natural branch form.
This lovely coral ring is a rare find and will be the perfect piece to add into your collection.

In very good antique condition, no cracks or black points on the coral. Several hallmarks on the shank of the ring, among which one is “585” for 14k gold.
