18k yellow gold sphere diamond ring by Marco Bicego, collection “Africa”

We are releasing this beautiful textured 18K gold Marco Bicego ring from our personal collection. The ring is part of the designer's extraordinary collection “Africa”.

The 18K gold spheres as well as the rest of the ring are engraved by hand with thin grooves using the ancient Florentine “millerighe” burin technique, an ancient tool in use since the Renaissance. The tool creates tiny grooves following the same direction so when you such the surface of the ring, it provides you a very satisfying and silky sensation. We love the ring because it uses a sophisticated skill to create an architectural design with many characters. It is simple yet elegant.

Next to the gold spheres are decorated with 6 brilliant cut diamonds mounted in 18K white gold. They complement perfectly the warm color of the yellow gold. The ring is stamped with 750 hallmark and numbered with the maker’s mark inside of the shank. The ring is singed on the side of the shank as well.

The ring is the fine flower when the ancient technique meets a contemporary design, a one-of-kind piece of jewelry which you should not miss.

Due to its special texture, the ring is not resizable.

In overall very good condition; slight trace of use on the metal.

750 hallmark for 18k gold, numbered with a maker’s mark inside of the shank.

Signed on the side of the shank.
