Beautiful Vintage 18K gold Coral Cameo pendant

For thousands of years, cultures around the world have prized coral as a gem and credited this product of the sea with magical powers. First century Romans used it to ward off evil and to impart wisdom. It’s still worn in modern-day Italy as protection against the “evil eye” and as a cure for sterility.

In front of us a beautiful and refined coral cameo pendant mounted in 18K yellow gold. The cameo features the profile of an antique figure with a band on his/her head. The pendant conveys a deep and very saturated red color, contrasts and complements the warmth of the gold. Great details have been created through the carving, making facial expressions of the cameo very lively.

The pendant can be worn with a gold chain or on a gold bracelet as a charm and it has its 750 hallmark for 18K gold on the bail.
