Marron Glacé — A little sweetness to carry through winter

In France, autumn brings the chestnut: a humble fruit gathered after a long season of growth, when the air turns crisp and the first signs of winter begin to appear.

Then comes the marron glacé, a cherished French confection traditionally enjoyed during the festive season. Slowly candied and delicately glazed, it transforms the simple chestnut into something precious — a small indulgence that makes the coldest days feel warmer.

For many of us, its sweetness carries the memory of childhood Christmases, of festive dinners, of family gathered around a table, and of those little rituals that make a season feel like home.

This is the inspiration behind our Marron Glacé pendant.

Its rounded silhouette recalls the precious confection, while the silky texture of gold captures its natural "wrinkles" and the diamonds as sugar drops on the top.  All the details to transform something familiar into something extraordinary.

A tribute to the beauty of French traditions, to the sweetness of shared memories, and to the small treasures that bring warmth to our lives.

Because some of the most precious things we carry are not only made of gold. They are made of memories.

Main Technique used in the piece :

Rigato:

• The Effect: Woven silk or satin.

• The Method: The artisan uses a burin (a specialized engraving tool) to cut thousands of microscopic, perfectly parallel lines into the gold surface. This creates a directional sheen that changes character based on how it catches the light, mimicking the texture of fine silk.
