Antique 18K gold miniature portrait brooch
For sale a refined 18K gold bejewelled miniature portrait brooch, featuring a woman wearing an intriguing harlequin hat with a rose cut diamond on it. This type of couture is often seen in the Commedia dell’Arte.
The enemaled painting shows intriguing details including the pink roses on her hair, her necklace, the ribbons on her cloth and on her heat.
The frame of the brooch is richly decorated with 6 natural pearls, 3 rubies and 3 rose cut diamonds. They provide beautiful contrast and complement the yellow gold setting perfectly. The brooch is dated back to the late 19th century, the Victorian era. It comes with a box as shown in the pictures/video.
