Victorian era 18K gold double sided garnet and diamond pendant

€0

Friendship, devotion, passion - these are just some of the meanings associated with garnets - evoking the sentimentality and significance of this appealing gemstone.

For sale a beautiful Victorian era pendant featuring two fiery red, pear shape pyrope garnets on each side. There are in total 14 diamonds in rose cut style on the gold mounting, which add sparkles as well as balance into the design. The pendant is mounted in 18k yellow gold, and it is probably converted from an antique pin.

In the Georgian period, garnets were one of the most desirable gemstones - what could easily be referred to as the jewels du jour as they were affordable and complemented almost every complexion. The garnets witnessed a revival in 1880 during Victorian times and they were mounted in brooches, necklaces, bracelet as well as rings.

We believe this one-of-a kind pendant will be a wonderful gift to express your love and passion.

The chain in the photo is not included in the listing.
