Very sweet antique 18K gold emerald diamond bow brooch

€0

Very sweet, classic and feminine, the bow is a fine jewelry motif that never seems to go out of style.

For sale a lovely 18K gold bow brooch decorated with two emeralds in emerald-cut style and 4 diamonds in rose cut style. The emerald measures 3mm* 25mm each and they have a total estimated weight of approximately 0.28ct. The emeralds are well saturated and they convey an appealing vivid green color. The 4 sparkling diamonds on the bow weight approximately 0.2ct in total. The brooch has two hallmarks, one on the pin and the other on the c-catch at the back of the brooch. The brooch is dated back to the 19th century, the Victorian era.

What we love about this brooch is also because it has a hook on the back, allowing you to hang a pendant on it. This type of design was used to wear pocket watch in the past. Please see our photo to show you.

Traditionally seen as a symbol of love and marriage, the bow motif first appeared in jewellery in the 17th century French royal court of Louis XIV, when gold or silver was delicately shaped into loose double bows covered with gemstones and attached to necklaces or brooches. The symbol continues to shine in the eyes of the most famous jewelry designers such as Tiffany, Chanel and Garrard.

We believe that this lovely 18K gold bow brooch will be a wonderful gift to offer or to receive.
