Sweet antique 18K gold swinging opal heart pearl pendant

For sale a sweet piece of jewelry featuring little opal heart swinging in the center of a circle made of 15 white natural seed pearls. The heart-shaped opal shows a strong play-of-fire with a rainbow flash of red, blue, green and yellow hues. On the back of the heart is engraved a date of “3 Avril 1898”, which means “3 April 1898” in French. We wonder who was lucky enough to receive this little heart at the beginning? The pendant is set in 18K yellow gold and it is recently converted from a Victorian era brooch.
