Rare Antique 18K ring “I will stay faithful to you”

For sale a rare 18K gold French ring from the 19th Century, as an extraordinary relic of French history and patriotism.

At the heart of the ring is a meticulously enameled motif depicting the proud colors of the French flag: blue, white, and red. Amidst the tricolor design, the ring proudly bears an inscription that reads "je te resterai fidèle," a poignant declaration of loyalty that translates to "I will stay faithful to you" in English.

Adding a touch of regal elegance to the ring is the beautifully detailed fleur-de-lis shoulders. This iconic symbol is borrowed from the traditional coat of arms of France and served as a symbol of royal lineage.

On the box where the ring is still reserved, it is indicated a legendary name in the French jewelry history: Louis Aucoc Ainé, leader of the Art nouveau movement and official supplier to the Queen of the Great Britain. Vever and Lalique used to be his apprentices. His family business was installed at 6 Rue de la Paix, as mentioned on the ring box as well. The family’s firm is patronised by the house of King Louis Philippe, the House of Orléans, Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie.
