Vintage 18K gold diamond dome cocktail statement ring

In the 1950s and 60s, the cocktail ring became the standard dress-up accessory for women heading to a cocktail party, restaurant or night at the opera. During that time, a bold ring was also a way for women to flaunt their independence.

For sale a statement ring made in 18K white gold, pavé set with 39 diamonds in old mine cut, The head of the ring has a high setting designed to give extra sparkle and brilliance. The different layers on the floral garland mountings add more volume and allow the light to pass through. The choice of using one white color in the design gives the ring a minimalist and contemporary look. The ring weights 7.9g and it has the French owl hallmark for 18K gold on the shank of the ring. The ring dated back to the mid 20th century, circa 1950s.
