Antique 18K rose gold muti gemstone half hoop ring

For sale rare and exquisite ring dated back to the late 18^th century/beginning of the 19^th century.

The ring impressed us by the use of different gemstones: from the deep blue allure of sapphire to the vivid green color of the emerald, and from the soothing brownish green hue of chrysoprase to the fiery glow of ruby, each stone tells its own story, forming a captivating symphony of colors. The meticulous placement of these 8 gemstones suggests a deeper meaning, perhaps representing a family name or a cherished sentiment from the era in which it was crafted. The setting is decorated with double lines of beautiful gold graineti (little gold dots), a popular goldsmith technique used during the 18^th century.

But it's not just the stones that make this ring extraordinary - the intricate details of its design elevate it to a true work of art. Two delicate flowers, with leaves crafted from green-colored gold, connect the head of the ring to its shoulders, adding a touch of sentiment and romance. The double lines decorated with gold dots encircle the stones, showcasing attention to detail. The ring is stamped with a partial French eagle’s head hallmark for 18K gold with a maker’s mark.

Measurements and Condition

In overall good antique condition. Traces of use, oxidation. The opal is showing a half grey appearance due to the foiled back. Traces of reparation inside at the joint of the head and the shoulder inside of the ring.

The gemstones include: a blue sapphire, an opal, a chrysoprase, a blue paste stone, an emerald, a hardstone, a moonstone and a ruby.
