Vintage 18K gold diamond star pearl bombé ring
How many times have lovers promised each other the stars out of the sky? Or how many times you’ve heard the “love you to the moon and back”? Although slightly short of the real thing, this beautiful French vintage 18K gold bombé ring will make you a real best present ever: 11 sparkling diamond stars float around a gentle creamy pearl in the central, which takes inspiration from constellation. The diamonds are in rose cut with a total weight of circa 0.45ct. The buttery yellow gold mounting wraps the finger comfortably. This is one of bejewelled celestial scenes that would make you smile and sing!
Named after the late 19th-century French dessert, bombe glacée, bombe rings are usually smooth and rounded. This type of ring is particular popular in France in the mid 20th century, during the 1950s. Since most of them are very eye-catching with valuable gemstones, they are worn as cocktail rings but also become among our favorite engagement rings.
