Victorian 18K gold enamelled cherub natural pearls ring

€0

Step back into the sentimentality of the 19th century with this beautiful Victorian-era 18K gold ring.

At its heart lies an enamelled painting depicting a cherub, seated and writing a letter. The soft pastel pink enamel background adds an extra layer of romanticism. Framed by soft white natural pearls and decorated with the intricate foliage on its shoulders, the ring pays homage to the Rococo style, when jewelry designs were naturalistic and highly ornamental with curves, asymmetry and a flamboyant use of flowers and leaves. The artistry of the painting recalls us the masterpiece of François Boucher, the "Cupid’s Target". The ring is stamped with the French owl hallmark for 18K gold.

Cherubs, or angels, with their endearing wings, have long symbolized love and emotions, making them a beloved motif throughout history. Paired with pearls, renowned as symbols of purity, this ring embodies a perfect union of sentiment and innocence.

Whether as a heartfelt gift to express sentiments or a prized addition to an antique jewelry collection, this piece is a true celebration of love.

The ring is resizable at buyer’s cost, please contact us before passing your order.
