Antique coral pearl beads hair comb
For sale a very rare antique hair comb. The head of the pin is decorated 14 beautiful coral beads in vivid salmon orange red color. Among the coral beads added 4 white seed pearls.
The head of the hair pin is mounted in silver and it is movable.
The elaborate hairstyles of the 19th and early 20th century were adorned with a variety of jewels which took the shape of the nature. Combs, fashionable at that time, are used when the hair was worn gathered in chignons at the back of the head. Either of traditional design or of a more modern look, they are always beautifully carved, making them rare and unique. Antique combs, or hair pins are very much appreciated by collectors today, or wedding planners who look for special hair ornaments for the future bride to be.
