Curiously timeless
Elegant French Art Nouveau 18K gold Diamond Lily Flower pendant
Flowers have long been a popular theme for the jeweller, interpreted by numerous generations over the years. The Art Nouveau era is especially marked by this influence: nature and naturalism were the driving force behind nearly all the decorative output from that period of Art Nouveau: insect such as a butterfly, a bird, a flower or a leaf…
In front of us a beautiful French Art Nouveau pendant, featuring a large, feminine and blooming lily flowers with leaves. The pendant is made of 18k yellow gold and 4 rose cut diamonds dropped on its surface, like the morning dew moistened softly the flower. We also adore its latticed hollow motifs which allow the light to pass through.
Lilies most commonly mean devotion or purity, though meaning can vary by type of lily, culture, and color. Because of the Greek myth of Hera and Zeus, lilies are associated with rebirth and motherhood. In China, lilies are used in weddings because they are tied to 100 years of love.
This beautiful piece which rework the lily flower into timeless jewelry will be a wonderful gift to offer or to receive!
