Antique 18K gold agate cameo pearl pendant

Worn as a symbol of status by men and women since antiquity, cameo jewelry says so much about the era in which they were created. For sale a beautiful cameo pendant, featuring a lady in profile, skillfully carved in agate on white and red bi-colors. The pendant also shows a great deal of detail in the figure’s features.

What is also very attractive about this pendant is its exquisite 18K gold mounting: the cameo is first mounted in a refined mill-grained border and then encircled by an elegant twisted gold wire all around, with 6 white seed pearls decorations. This design causes a coveted visual effect on the jewelry immediately.

Whether you are a cameo collector or not, this beautiful cameo pendant will be a wonderful piece to add into your everyday wardrobes. The pendant is converted from an antique brooch, dated back to the mid 19th century.

Measurements and condition

In overall very good antique condition; Traces of use and oxidation on the back of the pendant, on the gold part. Two marks are left on where there was the pin of the brooch. (Please see photo).
